Requiem Pearl Necklace

The Requiem Pearl Necklace — Hand-Carved Skull Pearl Pendant

A striking dialogue between raw mortality and iridescent beauty. The Requiem Pearl Earrings—named after the traditional songs of rest, remembrance, and the honoring of time’s natural transitions—reimagine classic pearl jewelry into a poetic, old-world memento mori talisman. Each earring features a genuine freshwater pearl that has been meticulously hand-carved into a miniature, highly detailed skull—complete with hollowed eyes, a smooth brow, and an anatomical jawline.

As the light shifts, the natural nacre of the pearl rolls across the carved contours, giving the bone-white skulls a luminous, spectral glow that cannot be replicated by synthetic stones. Pinched on a delicate gold headpin and anchored by a tiny metallic bead drop, they hang gracefully from slender, comfortable wire hooks. Rooted in historical folklore as tokens of protection, remembrance, and the beautiful impermanence of life, these carved pearls serve as a bold daily anchor and an intimate conversational artifact.
